What Are You Thankful For?

Today we made a list of some things that we are thankful for that we get and enjoy from nature and earth. We discussed how we would like other people to have these things as well. We decided that the best way to ensure that everyone can continue to have and enjoy these things is by we making sure earth is well cared for and kept healthy. Some of are favorite things include: food, trees, medicine, homes, electricity, playgrounds and animals.

Great Things The Earth Gives Us

Nature

Today we learned about another great thing that Earth gives us which is nature. We learned that there are LOTS of amazing places in nature where we can see new sights, do fun things, and enjoy our friends and family. For writing, we wrote about a time when we had fun outside in nature. We described the place we visited, who we were with, what we did, sounds we heard, and what we saw.

Planet Earth Unit

Today we learned about earth's natural resources called fossil fuels. We learned that these resources can be used to create energy which can be used to make electricity. We also discovered that we can make electricity and energy by using wind, water, and the sun. We made a list of the things that we use every day that need electricity to work and we quickly realized that we use way too much of it! We decided to use less electricity by turning off the lights and computers when were not using them.
